RULES AND REGULATIONS SPECIFIC TO THE RESERVED AREA OF New Brighton SB
Set up may begin as early as 7:00am. The area must be cleaned and vacated no later than 6:00pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day (half hour after sunset during the rest of the year).
Normal day use fees are charged to ALL vehicles entering the park, including caterers and rental companies. It is important for permittee to inform caterers/rental companies of this policy (if there's any). NO DROP-OFFS or PICK-UPS ALLOWED. Visitors who do not want to pay parking may park outside the park and walk down to the reserved area.
The maximum number attending the event is limited to 75 people. Alcohol restrictions are strictly enforced . Amplified music (including live bands or DJ's) is not allowed. Small radios, CD or tape players, producing non-amplified music are permissible as long as the sound does not carry beyond the reserved area.
All vehicles must park in marked spaces only. Approximately 6 spots in the parking lot adjacent to the reserved area will be held for your group use. This is usually just enough parking for the main party, assistants and parking for those with special needs. All additional cars must be parked in the day use parking lot. At no time will people attending a special event be allowed to park in or around campsites (even if the campsite appears empty).
Vehicles such as caterer's vans or pulling mobile barbecues are allowed to drive on the asphalt driveway leading to the reserved area provided they stay on the asphalt at all times and no more than two vehicles are in the area at one time.
Decorations such as streamers or tablecloths must either be tied or taped in place. No nails, tacks, staples or fasteners of any kind that penetrate wood are permitted. Rice, balloons, bird seed, confetti and the like are not allowed to be thrown in the park. Plants or flowers going to seed are not allowed. These items are non-native and may affect the plants and wildlife in the park.
The reserved area must be left in clean condition (all garbage and food products deposited into trashcans or if cans fill up, bagged in plastic bags and left next to the trashcans). All decorations must be removed before vacating the area. Recycling is encouraged.
